# How to delete resource

Hi

I trying to delete a resource but I’am getting this error:

$ qmgr -c “delete resource python”  
qmgr obj=python svr=default: Resource busy on job  
qmgr: Error (15174) returned from server

I already remove it from queue, node and sched\_config (with kill -HUP \<sched\_pid\>), but the error persists.

What I’am doing wrong?

- jobs in the history or reservation that might have used this resource. Hence you are getting this error.
- Stop the PBS Server services, edit the resourcedef and remove the line containing this resource
- Start the PBS Server service
