**For the same issue, this is the /var/spool/pbs/mom\_logs at the node side:** _02/25/2021 02:04:57;0002;pbs\_mom;Svr;pbs\_mom;HELLO sent to server at Dell-openpbs:15001, stream:237_ _02/25/2021 02:04:57;0c06;pbs\_mom;TPP;pbs\_mom(Thread 0);Connection to pbs\_comm Dell-openpbs:17001 down_ _02/25/2021 02:04:57;0001;pbs\_mom;Svr;pbs\_mom;im\_eof, Premature end of message from addr Dell-openpbs:15001 on stream 237_ _02/25/2021 02:04:57;0002;pbs\_mom;Svr;im\_eof;Server closed connection._ _02/25/2021 02:04:57;0001;pbs\_mom;Svr;net\_down\_handler;net down handler called_ Interestingly, when this node is configured for a different server it works. And in the same server where it is not working, other node is still working fine. ---

The following report at GitHub looks very similar to what you are seeing. Are you sure all your servers and nodes are running exactly the same version of PBS? > > > I ran into this issue while setting up an OpenPBS installation on a few CentOS machines. The server runs CentOS 8... ---
